The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) on August 05, 2026, issued the Draft Standards for NABH International Patient Care Standards - 1st Edition.
The following has been stated:
• The draft standards establish a quality and governance framework for Healthcare Organisations (HCOs) providing services to international patients/Medical Value Travel (MVT), with emphasis on safe, ethical, transparent and coordinated care. They cover 14 standards across 6 chapters with 41 objective elements: Access & Care, Patient Rights/Experience & Communication, Patient Safety/Quality & Infection Prevention & Control, Responsibility of Management, Human Resource Management, and Information Management System.
